I'll try with an empty /etc/make.conf... I also experience strange make errors, last when trying to compile freetype2, see my other mail in -stable. A make world using -j 4 also fails after about 10 minutes in make depend ... So something is weired ... Concerning ports, I'm cvsupping the CVS repository completely and update using this.... #! /bin/csh cd /usr mkdir -p /usr/src cvs checkout -r RELENG_4 -P src \ |& sed -e "/^cvs checkout:/d" \ |& sed -e "/^\?.*README.html/d" \ | mail -s "cvs update RELENG_4 for src" andreas cd /usr mkdir -p /usr/ports cvs checkout -P ports \ |& sed -e "/^cvs checkout:/d" \ |& sed -e "/^\?.*README.html/d" \ | mail -s "cvs update HEAD for ports" andreas This worked for me since years without trouble, so I expect, that my Mk files are up to date: bsd.emacs.mk:# $FreeBSD: ports/Mk/bsd.emacs.mk,v 1.13 2001/02/05 07:51:50 s= hige Exp $ bsd.gnome.mk:# $FreeBSD: ports/Mk/bsd.gnome.mk,v 1.6 2000/10/13 07:16:22 re= g Exp $ bsd.port.mk:# $FreeBSD: ports/Mk/bsd.port.mk,v 1.362 2001/02/17 00:46:26 as= ami Exp $ bsd.port.post.mk:# $FreeBSD: ports/Mk/bsd.port.post.mk,v 1.3 1999/08/25 04:= 40:21 obrien Exp $ bsd.port.pre.mk:# $FreeBSD: ports/Mk/bsd.port.pre.mk,v 1.3 1999/08/25 04:40= :21 obrien Exp $ bsd.port.subdir.mk:# $FreeBSD: ports/Mk/bsd.port.subdir.mk,v 1.39 2000/10/1= 4 11:03:15 asami Exp $ bsd.python.mk:# $FreeBSD: ports/Mk/bsd.python.mk,v 1.7 2000/11/20 12:30:14 = tg Exp $ bsd.ruby.mk:# $FreeBSD: ports/Mk/bsd.ruby.mk,v 1.14 2001/02/05 21:34:38 knu= Exp $ bsd.sites.mk:# $FreeBSD: ports/Mk/bsd.sites.mk,v 1.30 2001/02/17 00:13:32 o= brien Exp $ Andreas /// --=20 Andreas Klemm - Powered by FreeBSD 4.2 SMP Need a magic printfilter today ? -> http://www.apsfilter.org/ --IJpNTDwzlM2Ie8A6 Content-Type: application/pgp-signature Content-Disposition: inline -----BEGIN PGP SIGNATURE----- Version: GnuPG v1.0.4 (FreeBSD) Comment: Weitere Infos: siehe http://www.gnupg.org iD8DBQE6kNPGd3o+lGxvbLoRAkNWAJwNfoMhsmMsnZzj4qyMbGvZSYPm3ACgovFD OYDaITlnSpPS4ebucVcn+Ko= =KTCF -----END PGP SIGNATURE----- --IJpNTDwzlM2Ie8A6-- To Unsubscribe: send mail to majordomo@FreeBSD.org with "unsubscribe freebsd-ports" in the body of the message
