Blanket response to all the responses I got: I'm not thinking of Linux and I *was* volunteering my coding help. With that aside, what I was refering to what I guess now was bad logic... I used to rip cds but when I installed 4.4-STABLE I lost that ability, and when I went to install an alternitive ripper from ports I got this message: ===> cdd-1.0 is marked as broken: pre-CAM SCSI layer. I guess I read too much into that, but it did provide for why I couldn't use cdda2wav to rip cds (and I used to) with my IDE drive. Sorry for the misunderstanding. -Max Shron p.s. in that case, can anybody reccomend a way to rip cds? my mp3 collection sits there lonely with no new friends...
