But I do, actually. The files we deal with measure in gigabytes, and take a 
while to transfer even over fat pipes. Rejecting the uncompressed ones right 
away is better, than after the initiator has come back from his lunch.

With any kind of post-transfer verification, there is no reliable way to 
notify the user of his/her failure... I think, the quick rejection should 
delivered via the FTProtocol itself, so the user's FTP-client shows it -- 
instantly.
