Did you read the log? It's easy and human-readable, in the log said:

Your system is old, you need to update all apps before you install 
anything. Update your ports tree
by CVSup and use the portupgrade to update all apps by automatic. Since, 
you seem to have Gnome 2.2,
you should go to www.freebsd.org/gnome/ and check in the faq for how to 
upgrade the system to Gnome
2.4.
