I don't think so. The 2742 EISA two channel controller works with ahc0 and looks at both channels. You don't need a second ahc entry in your kernel. I don't have anything on the second channel in the moment, hence the empty second probe: ahc0: <Adaptec 274X SCSI host adapter> at 0x4c00-0x4cff irq 11 on eisa0 slot 4 ahc0: 274x Twin Channel, A SCSI Id=7, B SCSI Id=7, 4 SCBs ahc0 waiting for scsi devices to settle (ahc0:0:0): "FUJITSU M2694ES-512 811F" type 0 fixed SCSI 2 sd0(ahc0:0:0): Direct-Access 1033MB (2117025 512 byte sectors) (ahc0:1:0): "TOSHIBA MK538FB 6030" type 0 fixed SCSI 2 sd1(ahc0:1:0): Direct-Access 1172MB (2400302 512 byte sectors) ahc0 waiting for scsi devices to settle ATS ( ats@first.gmd.de or ats@cs.tu-berlin.de ) Andreas Schulz GMD-FIRST 12489 Berlin-Adlershof Rudower Chaussee 5 Gebaeude 13.10 Tel: +49-30-6392-1856/+49-177-2134745 Germany/Europe
