Just make sure it is in bold type in the FAQ and install notes then.
I don't think that I'm the only one who gets to the net via SLIP,
and this problem didn't have an obvious solution.  What made it
look even worse was that it only affected connections to other FreeBSD
machines.  If left without an easily found explanation, even though
FreeBSD is "doing the right thing", this feature could harm FreeBSD's
reputation.

I've heard that TTCP over slip with header compress is a losing
configuration anyhow.  Can we disable it in that configuration?
