Are either of the major window managers going to ship with a > working version with 4.4? As of about 4 days ago there were problems with some of the dependencies for both KDE and Gnome. The libgda problem that broke Gnome was caused by the authors releasing a new distfile (new checksum) but not bumping the version number. Both have been fixed now and should build fine. A new version of KDE should be out any day now.
