That meant writing some of the driver for the 3124, but it= =20 was fun (and the Soren did the heavy lifting). > I want to use software Raid via ZFS, so this should be a dumb chassis. > Is anyone using a simliar configuration succesfully? Certainly not in 6-STABLE, possibly in 7= =2E I=20 remember Soren was delaying PM work until NCQ was in; I had PM support=20 without NCQ in 6-STABLE at one point, but that severely limits the total=20 throughput of the drives. You may be better off with a 4-port card and a=20 multilane cable (my HW setup is an X4200 with four red SATA cables snaking= =20 out the back from the 3124 to the external drives enclosure, which has 4 SA= TA=20 ports on the back). =2D-=20 These are your friends - Adem GPG: FEA2 A3FE Adriaan de Groot --nextPart1511148.mWCdP4lHrj Content-Type: application/pgp-signature; name=signature.asc Content-Description: This is a digitally signed message part. -----BEGIN PGP SIGNATURE----- Version: GnuPG v2.0.4 (FreeBSD) iD8DBQBHiev+oBcIkmyNJhIRAqymAKCd60YwDHyovmXvcuGbqZNXB552WgCbBq62 1SzMXCcDCc/yh3WtALXaS6Y= =N/oW -----END PGP SIGNATURE----- --nextPart1511148.mWCdP4lHrj--
