I don't see the point in concentrating on presentation in the manner suggested. Besides, I happen to like the little Daemon! I am a (openminded) Roman Catholic by upbringing, and I see no religious issues with the mascot, so I see no reason why anyone else should. I also understand the choice. And agree with it. Hell, I like it! :) I am currently building a new system up to replace my Linux server at home, and I will be putting the little guy up on my front page too. If anyone has a problem with it, they should be openminded enough to at least understand the story behind the mascot or just mind their own business. I have no doubt that the little Daemon will be here for the duration, and I sincerely doubt that Mr. McPherran is the first to suggest such a change to the FreeBSD community. Of course, since I am a recent convert, this is the first such thread I have seen. And of course, I had to put in my 2 cents.
