This suggests that there is a bug in the > way burncd handles audio file processing, not in the delivery of the > data to the drive. Burning with the option "audio" ssems to need an "-s" switch. This is particularily true for my ancient Mitsumi 2xCDR. Contrary to the manpage burncd fails to set an default-speed of '-s 1' on my system. This could be your problem, too.
