Too me so far it looks like a bug in libarchve and the wa= y it walk through the filesystem and die with a "Operation Not Permited" if one directory is a symlink to a directory (only it case it wants to create a hardlink) and a bug in pkg which misses an error checking in that case so d= oes not report anything.
