With pthread, now I get the following core dump: This is exactly what I'm seeing with Thunderbird and KSE (see my post on threads@). However, if I libmap libthr or libc_r, then run Thunderbird, I get it to come up. After that, I can libmap libpthread back to libpthread, and Thunderbird will still work. It sounds like that's not the case for you. Out of curiosity, what user are you using to run Firefox?
