My spin is that we should wait awhile before doing this. There are *LOTS* of changes w/regard to CVS/Root Handling in the 1.10 branch, and I'd like to see them shaken out a while longer. I'm using CVS 1.9.28 with very good luck at work if the Y2K stuff is really bothering someone.
