Greetings,

Have any of you been able to get an APC BackUPS Pro 280s working properly
(in smart or simple mode) under Freebsd 3.3 or 3.4 (I'm building -stable on
a test box as i write this).  I've tried the programs from the ports
collection and will provide the output of all of them in case any of you
might recognize the problems.  The unit is cabled to the second serial port
with the 940-0024C and the 940-0095B cables, each gives the same results.
Here is what i tried and what i got:

 Nut 0.42.1 with the APC Smart driver:
# ./apcsmart /dev/cuaa1
Network UPS Tools - APC Smart protocol driver 0.40 (0.42.1)
Unable to detect an APC Smart protocol UPS on port /dev/cuaa1
Check the cabling, port name or model name and try again

Nut 0.42.1 with the generic (dumb) driver:

If any of you can help me with this I would greatly appreciate it, I'm sure
it is something I'm missing, but this is the first time I've tried to
connect one of these devices to a non-windows system.
