I was having trouble getting mysql40 running, so I removed the server and client packages. I then manually cleaned out the files under /var/db/mysql. Then I rebuilt the server and client. Sadly, when I try to start the server, it complains that mysql.host - one of the files I deleted - doesn't exist. How do I get all that stuff under var/db/mysql back, that I deleted? -ste
