Hi again, Thanks for looking into this however this recent patch still doesn't work as it recognizes my 82C586 as a 82C686 and tries UDMA66 (failing to mount root again): ata-pci0: at device 7.1 on pci0 ata-pci0: Busmastering DMA supported This is the relevant output of pciconf -l ata-pci0@pci0:7:1: class=0x01018a card=0x00000000 chip=0x05711106 rev=0x06 hdr=0x00 This is a (crap btw..)
