the KAME people are currently busy working on other things and cannot
reproduce problems on NetBSD; thus there is at least one discussion on
a fix open but one of the two proposed has been committed to HEAD for
5.2.1 (before branching I think).

apart from that  have you read my other mail ?

Can you please try 5.2.1-RC or better HEAD and tell me the results;
HEAD has an extra commit from ume that might help with this particular
issue.
