The problem: When the system does a cold/warm restart, 2.1.7R loads up fine but sendmail bounces mail back to all the senders. The mailer daemon says: mail loops back to me (MX problem?) Local configuration error But if I manually kill the sendmail process and restart it, all is well again and mail no longer bounces. I tried turning off sendmail in sysconfig and manually starting it in rc.local, but that did not help. Thanks in advance for any help or ideas.
