Is there another list that would be more suited to ask this > question. If it's a question, wouldn't it make sense to post it to freebsd- questions?? :) Seriously, that's what that list is for. :) Newbies is a place to discuss your experiences with FreeBSD, not a place to ask technical questions. Afterall, do you really want a bunch of semi-clued newbies answering your questions, or some highly-experienced gurus?? :) That would be difference between asking on Newbies and asking on Questions. We here on Newbies can help you to phrase your question in such a way that you are almost guaranteed an answer from someone on Questions, but you really shouldn't post questions here expecting correct answers. :) While there are some very clued people on here, they aren't really here to answer technical questions. :) If you run a few search through -chat, -hackers, and -questions, you'll find some threads dealing with monster installs and some issues to watch for. The main one is RAM: FreeBSD doesn't play too well with more than 4 Gigs. I've seen reports of sites with 1+ TB filesystems, though, so you should be good to go. IOW, search the archives, then post to -questions. :) Good luck, and let us know how it goes.
