Hi all, I am trying to start a daemon 'kannel' with the following command: su kannel -c "/usr/local/sbin/bearerbox -v 3 /etc/kannel.conf" The daemon is supposed to be able to write to files located in /var/log/kannel and /var/spool/kannel. I have set the permissions to 666 of both directories and even 'touched' the relevant files. However, all I get is permission denied errors: 2004-04-26 15:52:47 [0] ERROR: Couldn't open logfile `/var/log/kannel/access.log'. 2004-04-26 15:52:47 [0] ERROR: System error 13: Permission denied What am I missing here? Thanx. Dave
