There is a problem with the 3/10 toolchain (don't ask).
The easy "fix" until I cut a new one is:
cd /arch/sparc64/uber*/lib/gcc-lib/*/3.1
ln -sf /usr/lib/*.o .
this should fix the "hanging" binary problem.
