I had a quick look at the sys/isa/syscons and videoio stuff..  It looks 
like it still uses things like outb etc.  It looks like it uses readb/
readw etc rather than accessing the video memory.  I guess that the savers 
would need to be updated to do this sort of thing too.

I'm really hoping that Garrett comes up with something useful for a real 
isa configuration system under the new framework.
