+1 here, newer versions on FreeBSD 12 cannot open protected files. I have an
older laptop with libreoffice-7.2.2.2 and that still works.

I think it broke towards the end of the 7.3.x.x series and still a problem =
with
libreoffice-7.4.1.2 built just recently.

All the above is on 12.3-STABLE.

Another laptop with 13.1-STABLE and libreoffice-7.4.0.3_1 can open them ok =
so
the problem may be assiciated with 12.3, but that is a wild guess.

All versions are built from parts but I recall the problen exists with pack=
ages
too.
