Was wondering if anyone could help me out, I just installed FreeBSD
4.4. I was going to download WINE to run some windows programs from
FeeBSD and can't connect to any ftp sites. So tried to see if I could
connect to a ftp site through netscape and I keep getting this error
message "Sorry, access to the port number given has been disabled for
security reasons" I know I never disabled it when setting it up. Could
recompiling my kernel have done this because I was adding support for my
sound card. I'm running FreeBSD behind a proxy server and I have
everything configured correctly to work with my proxy server. I can
browse websites and ping. So if anyone knows how I can get ftp working
again it would be appreciated, can't do a whole lot right now without
it.

Joe
