A bit extreame :-)  Although the reward belongs to fdisk default behavior
when you specify an invalid drive in the -i argument (it re-arranges your
boot drive!), Oh, you are being told thatthat is what happenED, but then it
is too late...

I alerted this list to this problem several times.  It probably should be
a sysinstall parameter.  I NEVER could boot without changing /etc/rc
without this fix.  Actually, I set it to unlimited;  It is sensitive to the
number of filesystems checked too.
