I guess from your message that you're using quarterly packages, is this correct? Have you tried launching xfce4-appfinder from a terminal emulator? Is there= any output when it fails to run? have you taken a look at log files? let's start with basic things. Can you = find anything useful in any of the following logs? /var/log/messages ~/.xsession-errors Also, do you have made any kind of customization to the xfce/Xorg startup scripts?
