I installed it then sort of forgot about it for a while as I didnt have time to really look at it again till this weekend. I snagged cvs-bin-14.1.1 and installed it and config'd it to get src-all and cvs-crypto. I used RELENG_2_2_6_RELEASE as my tag and thats what came down the pipe. Now as this is a stock 2.1.7 installed system ( i didnt even get ppp working as I have a 2.1.7 system already working as a gateway and went through that to get new src ) can I simply type make buildworld then if that works make installworld? Or simple as the makefile has just make world? After that I would probably have to merge in the few changes I had in the sysconfig into the rc.conf I believe it is in the 2.2 branch. Other than configing the domain name, ip addr and one or two other minor things I did not do anything ot this box after I installed it. If this is the case will I end up with a 2.2.6 system? Or would it be easier just to boot with a 2.2.6 floppy and do an upgrade via sysinstall? thanks for any info...
