Tim Norman <normat@rpi.edu> was clever enough to Xhack the protocol and write these utilities to convert Ghostscript Xpbm/pbmraw output to PPA format (pbm2ppa) and calibrate the printer with a Xtest pattern generator (pbmtpg). X XVersion 0.8.4 supports HP720-, 820-, and 1000-series printers in B&W mode. XColor support is anticipated in a future release.
