Because it does for me: pcm0: at port 0x220-0x22f,0x330-0x331,0x388-0x38b irq 5 drq 1,5 on isa0 Notice how it is detected as SB-16, which is logical since the AWE-32 isn't different from the standard SB-16 in terms of what it can do and such. They just added a lot of extra stuff which makes it `32'.
