I've been trying to make the USB mouse to work on 4.3-Stable on a Toshiba Satellite 1735. From checking my BIOS tool and from a helpful Toshiba guy I got the following: 1. There is no option in the BIOS to disable the Legacy USB device support or the PnP. 2. The 1735 BIOS specs are: ACPI V1.0b, PnP V4.3, VESA V2.0, DPMS, DDC2, SM BIOS, PC BIOS Support Anyone could give any suggestions/RTFM? Thanks in advance, Georgios The rest of my status follows: --dmesg uhci0: irq 10 at device 7.2 on pci0 uhci0: Could not map ports device_probe_and_attach: uhci0 attach returned 6 --Boot messages (from running usbd) : usbd : No USB host controllers found --Kernel conf # USB support device uhci # UHCI PCI->USB interface device ohci # OHCI PCI->USB interface device usb # USB Bus (required) #device ugen # Generic #device uhid # "Human Interface Devices" #device ukbd # Keyboard #device ulpt # Printer #device umass # Disks/Mass storage - Requires scbus and da device ums # Mouse #device uscanner # Scanners # USB Ethernet, requires mii #device aue # ADMtek USB ethernet #device cue # CATC USB ethernet #device kue # Kawasaki LSI USB ethernet --/dev/ dir crw-rw---- 1 root operator 111, 0 Sep 5 22:13 /dev/ums0 crw-rw---- 1 root operator 108, 255 Sep 5 21:21 /dev/usb crw-rw---- 1 root operator 108, 0 Sep 5 21:21 /dev/usb0 crw-rw---- 1 root operator 108, 1 Sep 5 21:21 /dev/usb1 ------------------------------------------------------------ Georgios Koutepas gkoutep @ netmode.ntua.gr ------------------------------------------------------------ To Unsubscribe: send mail to majordomo@FreeBSD.org with "unsubscribe freebsd-mobile" in the body of the message
