I indeed cannot reproduce the problem any more (although nothing related se=

to have changed in libGLU and I had checked at the time that the culprit
printout was there).

I suppose whatever triggered it (from mesa-libs ?) has disappeared.

I suppose there would be some merit in picking the post-glu-9.0.0 commits f=
rom
the almost inactive mesa/glu git repo as patches, although I don't really c=
are.
The object of this PR was only a minor inconvenience anyway.
