Hi! I just spent two frustrating hours with the following problem: Bought a new PC with Abit BE7 motherboard. Installed FreeBSD 4.8-RELEASE fine. After removing the install CD and rebooting, the boot procedure always crashes when loading atkbd0. I can get the exact crash message if anyone is interested. Anyway, the workaround is to set the BIOS setting 'USB Keyboard support via:' from default setting 'OS' to 'BIOS'. This setting can be found under 'Integrated peripherials' menu. I'm relieved. -- Toomas Aas | toomas.aas@raad.tartu.ee | http://www.raad.tartu.ee/~toomas/ * No problem is so big that it can't be run away from.
