It seems that /uar/local/bin/kcheckpass is not setuid root. -----Original Message----- From: Erik Nygren [mailto:erik@swip.net] Sent: Tuesday, September 11, 2001 10:29 AM To: freebsd-stable@freebsd.org Subject: Locked screen stays locked I have recently installed 4.4RC4 and X4.1.0 and KDE 2.2. X have been installed from ports, and KDE have been installed mostly from packages but a few parts from ports (teTeX and kdegraphics) as they failed in the packages-installation. xdm has been run from root's commandline. The user "erik" has got exec /usr/local/bin/startkde in ~/.xsession and ~/.xinitrc The user can log on nice and easy, but if "erik" tries to lock the screen, the input-box will not accept any password. Anyone who have seen this (and solved it)? regards Erik Nygren To Unsubscribe: send mail to majordomo@FreeBSD.org with "unsubscribe freebsd-stable" in the body of the message Steve Dobbs sdobbs@stupid.com ------------------------------------------------------------ Sent with STUPID.COM's free email.
