On the fresh install, I have no problems with Xorg or DHCP. I've been building FreeBSD since sometime before v6. I winged it on the problematic install, so I must have made mistake. As a result of this new install, the only problem still existing from my original problem report is the annoyance of not having a synthetic mouse, w= hich you already planned to address.
