Some time ago it was enough to just install the
x11-themes/gtk-qt4-engine port and it would show up in KDE4 Application
Appearance section. Now, the port doesn't even install with the default
options (which is problem which apparently dates to 2009 :
http://www.mail-archive.com/freebsd-ports@freebsd.org/msg23746.html) and
when installed with a workaround (either disabling mtree or building
without bonobo), apparently doesn't work as it doesn't show in the KDE4
settings dialogs and GTK applications don't pick it up.

So in short, my question is: is there any way to make GTK applications
pick up the QT4 themes, like gtk-qt4-engine was supposed to be doing?
