This could be an excellent opportunity for more closely aligning the FreeBSD JDK patchset release with the official one. Provided volunteers donate their time, of course :-) On another note, perhaps the distribution of JDK 5.0/6.0 patchsets should be subject to the new Java Research License? It seems more open source-friendly, not to mention shorter :-) Distribution of diablo binaries shall remain a responsibility for the FreeBSD Foundation's legal negotiations, of course.
