https://bugs.freebsd.org/bugzilla/show_bug.cgi?id=3D241972 Bug ID: 241972 Summary: Unable to install FreeBSD 12.1 on Dell XPS 8930 Product: Base System Version: 12.1-RELEASE Hardware: Any OS: Any Status: New Severity: Affects Only Me Priority: --- Component: misc Assignee: bugs@FreeBSD.org Reporter: gerard_seibert@outlook.com I am trying to new a new install of FreeBSD 12.1 on a Dell XPS 8930 PC. I am using the "Boot Only" CD. I had to disable secure boot on the XPS in order = for it to use the CD. Now, once the CD starts up, the "login" screen appears. I wait for that to = time out and then the screen starts to fill up with messages. Then, this message= is repeated ad infinitum: uhub_reattach_port: giving up port reset - device vanished It never stops and makes continuing with the installation impossible. I have Googles for a solution, but without results. --=20 You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug.=
