Hello,
I'm running 2.2.6 on a acer 370C laptop. I am trying to get the ESS
1688 sound card recognized in the kernel and I'm having problems. I've
tried a lot of different things, but they don't seem to work. I found
this "conf.modules" file on the web from someone using the same model
acer as me. May be someone could help me decipher what I need in my
kernel:
alias sound sb
options -k sb io=0x220 irq=7 dma=1,5 type=12 acer=1
alias midi op13
options -k op13 io=0x388
alias net-pf-3 off
alias net-pf-4 off
alias net-pf-4 off
I've tried :
controller snd0
device sb0 at isa? port 0x220 irq 7 drq 1 vector sbintr
but it says sb0 not found @ 0x220
Thanks,
