 Please don't commit this. As within every port, I completly remove all 
 predefined CFLAGS to allow the port to stick to the systemwide defaults in 
 make.conf. If you want this port to use other CFLAGS than in make.conf, 
 eighter use pkgtools.conf or define them at the commandline when compiling 
 the port.
 
 I haven't noticed the mentioned slowdown here (I use CFLAGS=-O -pipe on a 
 -CURRENT and on a -STABLE system). If there really is a major slowdown for 
 more people (I haven't heard of any, yet), I could add a knob like  
 WITH_OPTIMIZED_CFLAGS, but by default the port should respect the systemwide 
 CFLAGS.
