as far as i can remember i always was able to build apache ports with my
favorite gcc under stable. This has changed after apache-2.0.48_1 which
is in production here with "gcc-3.3.3 20031103 (prerelease)" compiled.

The problem came up together with extensive warning messages out of
autoconf-hell when compiling the port.

(apache2 was very stable here with php/pgsql and has the advantage of
having an integrated deflate module, an "official" ldap_module etc. ).
