The following reply was made to PR ports/96754; it has been noted by GNATS. Def was an arch issue. removed flags from /etc/make.conf and builds fine. CPUTYPE?=pentium-m CFLAGS= -O2 -pipe -fforce-mem -fforce-addr COPTFLAGS= -O2 -pipe --force-mem --force-addr guessing it expected CPUTYPE?=i686. Anyway around this w/o me have to mod my /etc/make.conf anytime there is an openal update? > (I have no openal related emails from you as far as I can tell, No biggie. Was meant as an insult. Am a maintainer myself and sometimes emails slip through the cracks.
