It will make attempts to recover the data on the bad sectors, and remap them. Once it is done it will give you an ``final code''. Given the other facts stated above, like the drive has grown no errors in years, wddiag will probably just remap a couple of sectors for you and your drive will be ``defect free'' again and you can forget all about bad144. Depending on the value of the final code you can file a warranty claim on line via the www, though presently it is taking about 2 to 4 weeks for them to get your drive back.
