I was more specifically pointing at the hardware I have on my FBSD box than the OS itself. The box has a pair of slower EIDE discs and a AMD K6-3/450 while my Win98 box is a P3-500 with a 10krpm UltraSCSI drive. NICS are 3Com 905b's. This was using Win98's built in ftp client and FBSD's built in ftp client. I've since switched my ftpd to NcFTP. Not tested it since I installed it.
