--- Comment #9 from Jon Theil Nielsen <jontheil@gmail.com> ---
(In reply to Mark Millard from comment #8)

I really appreciate your thorough explanations so I hate to ask more questi=
ons.
I am not even close to be a system developer (wish I were).

I am able to find the Makefile all right. And so I can add the line for the

        rockchip/rk3399-rock-pi-4b.dts \

But I don't know how to get further from there.

I have a couple of machines running FreeBSD 13.1-RELEASE-p3 GENERIC amd64.
A long time ago, I used to do manual upgrades according to the Handbook, but
now I am used to use freebsd-update. Therefore, I have forgotten how to bui=
ld
things.

I seems to me that I somehow have to build what I have in
/usr/current-src/sys/modules/dtb/rockchip (this is the directory holding the
lates souces).

And after that, I should copy the
rk3399-rock-pi-4b.dtb
to the boot sector of the installation medium. I can mount the medium by is=
csi.

Maybe I misunderstood your explanation, so I have to do something completely
different?

If the explanation would be to long for posting here, could you direct me to
useful documentation (e.g. the Handbook)?
