The fix is easy, but I wonder, why chinese/joe exists in the first place -- the sole difference between it and editors/joe is /two lines/ in the installed etc/rjoerc file. That is all, the port's additional patch: http://distcache.FreeBSD.org/local-distfiles/chinsan/patch/zh-joe-3.7.diff achieves... Maybe, we can eliminate the additional port? -mi
