Are you saying that | the hang problem occurs whenever you shutdown to single user mode, then | restart multi-user mode, all while there is a modem pcmcia card | inserted? Any combination of inserted cards does this. | And which version of FreeBSD use to work, and which version doesn't | work now? Hmmm. Well, I didn't shutdown and restart very often before the ed card was added, so I really can't say for sure. I know that's not the answer everyone would like, but it's the honest truth. I *do* know for sure that I have shutdown/restarted via single-user mode recently when this did not happen, but since there was no problem then, I can't recall exactly when it happened. jcm -- o-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-o | ~~~~~~~~~~~~ Jonathon McKitrick ~~~~~~~~~~~~~ | | "I prefer the term 'Artificial Person' myself." | o-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-o To Unsubscribe: send mail to majordomo@FreeBSD.org with "unsubscribe freebsd-stable" in the body of the message
