    Still?!?  Geez, I was "reassured" by several Linuxers that the
network code has been "vastly improved" for the 1.2.x kernel.  I was
getting a whopping 19K/sec on NFS writes with the 1.1.80 kernel, and
that's when I switched camps.  :)
