The onboard SCSI on those things is pretty awful if I remember correctly.
The 1742 is OK under FreeBSD though (make sure you upgrade it to -stable
ASAP though).

(I think the SCSI controller is a 53c90 or similar; not a wonderful part.)

Apart from that, you _may_ have some fun with the BIOS memory reporting,
but I think you'll be OK.
