As David O'Brien mentioned, it's best to ask on the SCSI list about SCSI stuff. In any case, the license on the driver for their Ultra-Wide controllers has not always been a BSD-style license. It used to have one file with a BSD-style license, one file with a proprietary license, and one file with no license. Thomas Graichen has been working on getting both of Initio's drivers into FreeBSD. This may explain why Initio has fixed the copyright on their Ultra-Wide driver. (Their Ultra2 driver never had a copyright problem.) You may want to contact Thomas and see how things are going.
