Bill Paul (aka PCI ethernet driver god) appears to be gathering the necessary material needed to write a driver for the Tigon based gigabit ethernet cards. The Tigon chip is made by Alteon (www.alteon.com) and is used in the 3com 3c985 and the Netgear gigabit cards. I don't think he has any cards to work against at this time so if you're looking for a way to help his efforts you might consider asking him what hardware he is still looking for. Given his past track record for driver development I'd expect him to have something working a week or so after he gets cards. You go Bill. -- | Matthew N.
